Fiske

Det er selvsagt gratis å fiske i fjorden og du kan velge om du vil gjøre det fra land eller fra båt (som du kan leie hos oss). Det finnes mange forskjellige typer fisk i fjorden, fra sei og brosme til laks og vi har til og med fanget en hai en gang!!!

Fiskeutsyr kan kjøpes på Coop-butikken i Hellesylt sentrum.

Fiskekort for elv og ferskvann

Alle elvar og vann i området krever at du har kjøpt fiskekort...

For Korsbrekkelva, som er en kjent og populær lakseelv, kan en bestille/ kjøpe kort hos Stadheimfossen Camping.

I de mange andre elver og fjellvann i bygda kan en fiske aure, mot svært rimelige fiskekort. Du vil finne salg av fiskekort i automater/ kasser ymse steder langs veiene. Ta ellers kontakt med Hellesylt Turistkontor for mer informasjon på telefon +47 94 81  13 32

Laksefiske

Både i fjorden og i elveosen nedenfor Hellesyltfossen kan en få laks på kroken. Det er likevel Korsbrekkelva som er mest kjent og populær blant sportsfiskere i både inn- og utland. Her har sportsfiskerne fått laks på opp til 25 kilo.

Very good location for visiting Geiranger Fjord. Everything was fine, and price was very ok (one of the cheaper hostels on our trip). The building, bedrooms etc. are a little older, so that could be renovated.

The staff was very friendly. The single-room was clean, with good facilities. Breakfast was very good, a lot of things to choose from. The whole hostel had a really nice atmosphere. Good value for money. Thanks for the nice time. Tom.

we have been travelling since 6/15 and have stayed at youth hostels. and yours is the best, particularly the view from the dining room, kitchen, patio, and sitting room. anne, the staff on duty, is very nice too. if we get a chance to travel to the area, we definitely will stay in your place or recommend your hostel to our friends. problem is norway is just too expensive, with the us$ devaluating each day. we also love your all your can eat buffet breakfast.

Lovely setting with fine views of the fjord. Well worth the walk up there. The weather was great and the staff very helpful and friendly.My single room was small but functional with a bunk bed, desk, chairs and washbasin. The staff kindly kept my luggage for the day while I went out walking. The bus stop for Alesund is just down from the hostel, which runs at least twice a day. Breakfast is plentiful and the room overlooks the fjord. The hostel also has some cabins facing the fjord.
