If you like natur and outdoor activities, Hellesylt is the right place for you!

You can choose between many different hiking- and cycling trails if you like to challenge yourself. For those who prefer activities on the water, there is also a lot to do in Hellesylt: You can take the ferry to Geiranger or rent a motorboat or kayak to discover the fjord on your own. There are lots of fishing possibilities in the river and fjord, from land or from a boat.

Hellesylt also has a little beach where you can enjoy hot summer days and refresh yourself in the cool fjord water.

You can also rent bicycles, a motorboat and kayaks from us:

Bicycles  - What about a ride to Øye through the famous and breathtaking valley Norangsdalen or over the mountain Flofjellet to Stryn?

Motorboat - Ideal for fishing or in order to discover the Geirangerfjord on your own. Stop for example at one of the old mountain farms along the fjord and imagine how people used to live here in the old days.

Kayaks - An undescribable nature experience on the fjord!

Wonderfull breakfast, and a very nice Fjord view. I think t was a bit hard to find it at night, so I suggest studying well the map before going

Very good location for visiting Geiranger Fjord. Everything was fine, and price was very ok (one of the cheaper hostels on our trip). The building, bedrooms etc. are a little older, so that could be renovated.

The staff was very friendly. The single-room was clean, with good facilities. Breakfast was very good, a lot of things to choose from. The whole hostel had a really nice atmosphere. Good value for money. Thanks for the nice time. Tom.

we have been travelling since 6/15 and have stayed at youth hostels. and yours is the best, particularly the view from the dining room, kitchen, patio, and sitting room. anne, the staff on duty, is very nice too. if we get a chance to travel to the area, we definitely will stay in your place or recommend your hostel to our friends. problem is norway is just too expensive, with the us$ devaluating each day. we also love your all your can eat buffet breakfast.

Lovely setting with fine views of the fjord. Well worth the walk up there. The weather was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. My single room was small but functional with a bunk bed, desk, chairs and washbasin. The staff kindly kept my luggage for the day while I went out walking. The bus stop for Alesund is just down from the hostel, which runs at least twice a day. Breakfast is plentiful and the room overlooks the fjord. The hostel also has some cabins facing the fjord.
